Why do men cheat?
Everybody that cheats knows that cheating is not good, but for one reason or the other, they still end up cheating. There are many reasons why men cheat; some men cheat because they feel it’s a quick way to escape their problems, other cheat simply because it makes them feel good. Women cheats too, but most of them always want to know why men cheat.
Below are top reasons why men cheat.
They have grown out of love; most men cheat because they are no more in love with their spouse and do not know how to go about it. They are bored and tired of the relationship mostly because the woman has changed and she is no longer the woman they met and fell in love with. Most men are still married to their wife because they have to, and sometimes for the sake of their children.
They are no longer attracted to their partner [sexually]; some men cheat because they no longer see their spouse as beautiful. Their partner is no longer as beautiful, sexy and irresistible as they were when they started the relationship.
They don’t get enough sex; it is obvious that some women don’t give their man enough sex. They give excuses like being tired with the kids the whole day, or working all day, and when such man see an opportunity to have sex outside their home, it won’t be easy to resist.
They want to get revenge; some men cheat because their spouse has once cheated on them and they feels it’s the only way to get back at them.
They got away with it the last time; women have big hearts, so they forgive easily. Most men take advantages of this fact, knowing that their spouse will forgive them again and again when they get caught. All they have to do is say sorry.
Their sex life has become boring; their partner doesn’t try new things in bed. Has you all know, nobody likes eating a particular food all the time, even if it is your favorite meal. Therefore, most men cheat in order to maximum satisfaction in bed.
To boost their ego; sometimes, its not their spouse fault, they cheat just to boost their ego, just because it make them feel good. In this case, it doesn’t mean they don’t love their woman.
To escape home/office problem; most men cheat because they have a nagging wife, or a demanding boss, and the best way to clear their head is by cheating.
They can’t resist sex; almost all men can’t resist sex, and when the opportunity comes, they just fall.
They can’t commit; somemenfind it difficult to stay in a relationship with only one person, maybe because of what has happened to them in the past, and they don’t want to have their heart broken again, but they just cant.

You are right and i agree with your points but from my own perspective, i will say that cheating is something that has to do with one's nature,i mean it is so natural for some of us,it is like a life style...some men can't do with one woman besides like you said women cheats too...everyone does but what is really in the mind of those that do it?

@ givemeabreak~too funny! I believe a lot of what was pointed out in earlier paragraphs. I think men (and women) cheat due to a combination of trust issues; being from a broken home; poor self~esteem (they will leave me anyway syndrome) and fear of being alone....
I am going through a trying time w/ my bf; and really don't know what to do. That said, breaking up, walking away, and/or 'not settlings are easier said than done. I just wish someone would tell/explain to me how a man thinks...and why he does and says what he does! Wishing all a good night!

There is nothing "normal" about cheating. It's not in our nature. The things we do are choices. There is no excuse nor justification for them. If you're unhappy in your marriage, work on it. Think about what YOU need to do different, not what your SPOUSE needs to do. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!! Most people who cheat are concerned about their needs, and not the needs of their spouse. Marriage is hard work and you have to work hard to make it work. Cheating doesn't make the problems better, it doesn't make them go away, it just escalates the problem and adds upon it. People need to stop blaming everyone else for their problems and behaviors.

it just sounds weak.
i mean, the only one that sounds good is the revenge one. if my man cheats i'll shove it in his face my handsome new beau and say, HAH there you go!! i can do it too and look, he's a lot more than you can ever do. take that, you lousy unmoralistic lowlife./end rant. yeah by revenging, it's also low, but hey, so what? revenge is swweeeet.
but in all honesty, if the spouse/partner/bf has cheated, then you call them on it, it's better BEFORE it happens.
dont let it get too far, like in the case of Lorena Bobbit who literally cut off her then husband's you know what and threw it out in the street.
Cheating is one reason many people do not respect marriage any more. It causes more people to stay single. If the marriage bed is sociable, why get married? The old saying, "A man will be a man," should have never been repeated by women. Big mistake! Many men took advantage of the ignorance. Men were given the same laws of decency as women. There is no excuse for cheating. If a spouse is so bad that the other has to cheat, it is time for a divorce. Yes, a spouse should try to save the marriage if it is salvageable. One thing to remember, "AIDS does not give second chances." I have seen the faces of people who regret cheating after getting infected. They were not pretty.

I think some men (and women) do cheat, others don't and probably not just because they do not have the reason to do so, but because their values are different. Sometimes jealousy will drive a partner away, sometimes it is a boring sex life or lack of love and appreciation. I believe that it is possible to keep your partner attracted to you. It is said that men love novelty and women, if not too lazy, know how to surprise their men.
